Monitoring of wind turbines

Together with Thomas Decker and the Center for Wind Power Drives at RWTH Aachen University, we are currently working on monitoring gearbox plain bearings in wind turbines.
In the first investigations, different friction conditions in the plain bearing were successfully measured using our patented ultrasound measurement method. The applied load correlated very well with our acoustic parameters.

A publication on the topic is planned for 2024.
